EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

IT Department

Classrooms in each building are ready for the new year.
100 replacement Chromebooks have been ordered; 46 have been shipped. Those will be installed ASAP.
Upgrades to RTEC include a new projector, computer, and video conferencing equipment.
LaHarpe classroom computers are installed and are ready for classes there starting August 17.

Human Resources Office

Interviews were conducted for positions of employees who retired or resigned at the end of the FY21-22 contract year.

HR PAGE sponsored Emporia Area Business conference: Topics included - Building an Inclusive & Supportive Workplace for LGBTO+ Employees; Employer's Guide to Changing Laws on Marijuana in the Workplace; FMLA and Legislative updates; Ethics for HR Professionals and All that We Share by Jeanine McKenna
Attended KPERS-sponsored Workshop in Topeka - Provided information on calculating retirement benefits.
Attended Title IX training in Topeka and a more intensive Title IX training Webinar
Participated in Chamber Blue of Kansas informational webinar - returned the survey to be eligible to join 2023 if cost/benefit is preferable to our current insurance.

Maintenance Department

Installed new seating in front of the Technical building.
Replaced rusty piping in the west boiler room.
Changed out old lighting (T8s) to LED bulbs in the Multimedia Design Lab at the Downtown campus.
Replaced old exit lighting on the third floor of the Downtown campus - requested by the state Fire Marshall.

Board of Trustees Meeting
