EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

Evaluated the completion of the curriculum for a number of hybrid or online courses: GAT 107 Graphic Reproduction Processes I, GAT 124 Finishing and Binding, GAT 222 Graphic Reproduction Processes II, GAT 229 Projects in Screen Printing, NET 230 Microsoft Client Administration, NET 248 Microsoft Server Administration I, NET 275 Microsoft Server Administration II, and PDV 001 First Year Experience courses. (Kim Dhority) Participated in the summer Kansas Technical College's Retreat at Salina Area Technical College on July 13 and 14. (Kim Dhority and Steve Loewen) Attended the Early Childhood Education Summit for the Advocacy Group on July 15 and the Career Path Group on August 5, both held by the Chamber of Commerce. (Steve Loewen) Took part in the state-wide Kansas Board of Regents (KBOR) Dual Credit Steering Committee Meetings on July 19 and August 2 via Zoom. (Kim Dhority and Steve Loewen) Engaged in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act (WIOA) Core Partners Meeting as representatives of FHTC with Jason Hendry, Adult Education Center Director. (Steve Loewen) Took part in a search committee for the Hospitality/Culinary Arts faculty position. Offered and received a letter of intent for the HCA position. (Steve Loewen) Completed a plan to address KBOR-requested outcomes/goals for the Adult Education Center (AEC), with President Daugherty and Jason Hendry, AEC Director. (Steve Loewen) Engaged in an AEC site visit with the KBOR AE staff with Jason Hendry on July 22. (Steve Loewen) Helped facilitate the New Instructor Seminar at Kansas City Kansas Community College from July 26 - 28. Seven FHTC faculty (Andrea Cahoone, Wyatt Cortner, Kyle Hayes, Brady Kohler, Gina Lyon, George Shove, and Daniel Stair) were among the 50 faculty participants from across the state. The focus of the Seminar was on instructional planning (at both the daily and course level), instructional teaching/learning strategies, and classroom/lab management and culture. (Kim Dhority and Steve Loewen) Participated in the Perkins Coordinators Annual Training in Manhattan on Aug. 1 & 2 presented by the KBOR Career and Technical Education staff. Loewen) Prepared and led the FHTC New Faculty Orientation for FHTC's eight new faculty members from August 3 to August 5 in the Conference Center. (Kim Dhority and Steve Loewen)
