Several area Kettle Moraine students have earned the highest awards in Girl Scouts! We are proud of all that they have accomplished this year.

GOLD AWARD

Kylee Zell (Troop 8970)

Courtyard Cleanup and Renovation

Kylee revitalized the courtyard at KM Global, transforming it from an overgrown, underused space into a vibrant, functional area for learning, relaxation, and gardening. Kylee cleared debris, repaired and repainted benches, built six new wooden two-person benches, added a second picnic table, and constructed a shed to organize gardening supplies. She also created flowerbeds with donated plants and mulch, enhancing the courtyard’s beauty and usability and creating a lasting, versatile space that fosters outdoor learning, student collaboration, and school pride for years to come.

SILVER AWARD

Ellen Dalum, Arianna Duket, Caylee Holinka, Nadia Meyer (Troop 37815)

Differences Should Not Divide

Ellen, Arianna, Caylee, and Nadia created a hand-drawn book celebrating friendship, kindness, and individual differences to help 2nd graders in KM Elementary Schools understand and appreciate diversity. By sharing real-life experiences with ADHD, dyslexia, and being new to a school, the book promotes empathy, inclusion, and recognizing each student’s unique “superpowers.” Copies were also placed in middle school libraries and counselors’ offices to create a lasting resource.

Kettle Moraine Outdoor Equipment Organizer

Vanessa built an outdoor equipment organizer for Kettle Moraine Middle School to replace the trash can previously used to store recess equipment. The new wooden organizer makes balls and other equipment easier to access, encouraging more students to play outside and support their physical and mental health.
